A spectacular original Art Deco poster by Emilio Vilá (1887–1967), created for the glamorous Bal Hispano-Americain held at Paris's prestigious Hotel George V. Two elegant women prepare for the black-and-white themed celebration: one dramatically dressed in black, the other glowing in a pale evening gown.

The composition is especially striking for its metallic silver background, which gives the poster an extraordinary luminous quality. Monumental typography, theatrical silhouettes, jewellery and sumptuous fabrics perfectly capture the sophisticated atmosphere of Parisian nightlife during the Roaring Twenties.

A large, authentic and highly decorative collector's poster, combining Paris, fashion, nightlife and pure Art Deco glamour.
