Created by Roland Hugon after the war, this SNCF advertising poster captures the spirit of rail travel to the Mediterranean. The viewer is invited to enjoy the sensory experience of a night journey, thanks to an ingenious composition: the Côte d'Azur panorama is revealed through the stylized porthole of a sleeper. Sailboats, palm trees and illuminated facades evoke the promise of a sunny tomorrow.

Printed in color lithography by the Paul Martial workshop in Paris, the poster measures approximately 100 x 62 cm. Its quality of execution, typical of the great tradition of French poster artists of the late Art Deco period, makes it a sought-after piece for collectors specializing in travel posters.

Today, well-preserved original canvas copies are rare on the market. The implicit narrative of the slogan "Tonight on the train... Tomorrow morning - Côte d'Azur" contributes to the emotional power of this work, playing on the dream of immediate escape offered by the night train.

It's a piece with character, ideal for enriching a collection of tourist railway posters, or for sublimating a decoration inspired by the 40s and 50s, at the crossroads of vintage design and Mediterranean art de vivre.
