Clément-Bayard was a landmark French industrial company of the early 20th century, founded in 1903 by Adolphe Clément-Bayard. Initially focused on bicycles and tires, the company quickly made a name for itself in the automotive sector by producing innovative and stylish vehicles. It also emerged as a pioneer in aviation, building airplanes and airships, some of which were used by the military. With a workforce of several thousand employees, the company was severely impacted by World War I. In 1922, weakened, it was absorbed by Citroën. Today, Clément-Bayard remains a symbol of the ingenuity and bold industrial spirit of the Belle Époque.
