A striking Belgian motor-racing poster promoting the famous Pentecost racing weekend at Chimay, with Michelin taking centre stage. Speed dominates the composition: a racing motorcycle, a spectacular streamlined yellow race car, bold red graphics and two cheerful Michelin Men framing the slogan “Michelin – Le pneu belge de qualité” (“The Belgian quality tyre”).

With its wonderfully dynamic post-war design, this poster captures an era when motor racing embodied speed, technological progress and modernity. Combining cars, motorcycles, Michelin and the legendary Bibendum, it is a particularly desirable piece for collectors of vintage automotive advertising, motorsport memorabilia and historic Michelin posters.

Chimay has genuine racing pedigree: the first Grand Prix des Frontières was held there over the Pentecost weekend in 1926, featuring both cars and motorcycles, beginning a long association between the Belgian circuit and Pentecost racing.
