Original poster designed by Bernard Villemot for Bally in 1979.

" Le plus painter of the great French affichistes. Less graphic than a Jean Carlu, more abstract in his compositions than Savignac or Paul Colin, Bernard Villemot définissait first of all by his love of colour. (...) One qualifie often his style of lyricism décoratif . » Paul Schmitt

From 1967 onwards, Bernard Villemot led a remarkable series of variations on Bally shoe advertising. As with his work for Orangina and Perrier, for whom he worked closely, the French poster designer created a modern visual identity unique to the brand, which then became inseparable from his style with its assertive lines and intense colour. Here, the space is occupied by an evocative footwork, between dance and embrace, which stands out against a deep black background.
