In 1948 Victor Vasarely signed the poster "Air France Amérique du Sud" for the French airline.

This time, the plane crossing the sky is more than just a decorative element, as is often the case on Air France campaigns. This time it is the main actor in this night scene: we follow it across the Atlantic, with the South American continent forming the horizon. The yellow moon in the sky in the middle of the mountains becomes the guide, and his reflection becomes both a road and an airstrip.

The famous Hungarian visual artist, considered the father of optical art, is notably at the origin of the logo of the Renaud car brand or the murals of the Montparnasse train station in Paris.

He said: "If I compare advertising to a language, the line, shapes and colours would be its alphabet. »
