Original travel poster designed by Jules Alexandre Grün around 1930, promoting stays in Le Touquet with the Northern Railway.

From 1845 to 1938, the Compagnie du chemin de fer du Nord operated the railway network in northern France, led by banker James de Rothschild. It is one of the main components of the SNCF created in 1938.

This original travel poster promotes Le Touquet (Le Touquet-Paris-Plage), a famous seaside resort on the Channel coast. It is designed by Jules Grün, a French post-impressionist painter, illustrator and poster artist. A friend of Jules Chéret, for whom he works for the Imprimerie Chaix, he is particularly known for his still lifes, portraits and scenes of Parisian life.

Perched on a high path, a mother and her child admire the Normandy beaches: this clever composition gives an overview of the landscape and the activities allowed in the region, such as golf.
