Constant Duval is a French painter, poster artist and draftsman. From 1910 until the nationalization of the French railways in 1937, he created numerous posters for the companies operating the various networks. He deployed his talent as a landscape designer to highlight the natural sites accessible by rail.

Exhibited at the Salon d'Automne de Paris, the Salon des indépendants, the Salon des artistes français and the Salon d'hiver, he was one of the most sought-after illustrators of this period for this type of poster, such as Roger Broders, Paul Berthon and Louis Tauzin. His works are most often printed in Paris in the great houses such as Champenois or Lucien Serre.
