Original French poster of the British film You Only Live Twice by Lewis Gilbert in 1967.

Fifth film in the series produced by Harry Saltzman and Albert R. Broccoli, You only live twice takes James Bond to Japan to investigate the disappearance of an American spacecraft. There, he is captured by Bolfeld, number one of the Spectre, whose secret lair is nestled in the crater of an extinct volcano.

The making of the Japanese fake volcano is probably one of the most imposing sceneries ever built. The Matsu volcano was large enough for a helicopter to get in and out: it cost £350,000 to create, which is as much as the total budget set aside for the sets of James Bond 007 versus Dr. No.

This version of the poster, unlike the B-model which emphasizes the seduction and oriental setting of the film, focuses solely on the action. It shows the battle between a gyrocopter and the Spectre helicopters, one of the most spectacular moments of the film.
