Original French poster designed by Landi in 1969, model B, for the film Bullitt directed by Peter Yates with Steve McQueen, Robert Vaughn and Jacqueline Bisset

Bullitt is an American detective film directed by Peter Yates in 1968, starring Steve McQueen (as the anti-hero Frank Bullitt), Robert Vaughn and Jacqueline Bisset. The screenplay, written by Alan R. Trustman and Harry Kleiner, is adapted from Mute Witnessa novel by Robert L. Pike.

According to Michel Landi, who created the poster, "A poster has to be a punch! ». The winner of the 1986 César for best poster, who learned his craft by making panels for westerns, is also the creator of the bewitching posters of Once upon a time in the West, Fog, Phantasm, Pulses, Blow Out, Heatwave, Danton, Never again, Aliens, Predator

Model B of the poster differs from model A in its composition: Landi adds not only colors, but also architectural elements that contextualize the scene. Finally, Steve McQueen is no longer the only star of the picture, he is joined by the other main characters of the film.
