Original French poster of 1948 (second print) of the film Battling-Geo (Toboggan) directed by Henri Decoin in 1934.

Passionate about sports and more particularly boxing, Henri Decoin launched himself into cinema at the end of the First World War and directed his first film in 1933-1934: Toboggan or Battling-Geo.

Georges Carpentier, the first French professional boxer to become world champion in English boxing, played the lead role after retiring from competition in 1926. The man who likes to describe himself as "a man of the world" plays the boxer Georges Romanet, facing a crisis in his career and personal life.

The beautiful art deco style poster plays on the subtle superimposition of images. The boxer's face stands out in the spotlight, like a zoom on the fight taking place below him.
