Created by Italian poster artist Plinio Codognato, the official poster for the first Milan International Air Show fully reflects the Art Deco aesthetic and Futurist spirit that dominated Italy in the 1930s. Held at the Milan Fair from October 12 to 28, 1935, the event was designed to showcase the technical progress of Italian aviation, then presented as a symbol of national power.

The poster features a striking composition: three stylized eagles, standing on a vertical red column, evoke domination and aerial supremacy, while a metallic aircraft cuts through a luminous golden sky. With its pure, dynamic graphics, this work illustrates the technological enthusiasm and cult of speed characteristic of the Futurist movement and aeropainting, while at the same time conveying propaganda imagery specific to the political context of the time.

Produced as a 100 × 70 cm lithograph, Codognato's poster remains an emblematic piece of Italian advertising art, at the crossroads of aeronautical history and graphic design.
