Original poster designed by Sterne Stevens, promoting the IVth Salon de l'Alimentation held in Belgium in 1927.

Designer and illustrator for the General Motors Company in Brussels and Antwerp from 1925 to 1937, Lawrence Sterne Stevens also designs designs for Buick, Chevrolet and Belga cigarettes. It then returned to New York in 1941 where he began his career as a freelance illustrator where he stands out for his magazine covers.

This original poster on a black background shows a blessed cook at whose feet lie appetizing victuals of all kinds. This gastronomic panel, the steaming saucepan he holds in his hand and his big smile form a humorous invitation to a tasting at the IVth Salon de l'Alimentation at the Palais de l'Habitation.
